The quality of mobile phone cameras continues to improve, and we are capturing more images than in the past. However, there are times when the time and date information contained in those images is wrong.

You may want to update the time to make things easy to find; the metadata may have been corrupted during the file transfer, or the camera’s clock may have been incorrectly set. Irrespective of the drive, the ability to edit a smartphone photo’s date and time is quite practical.

How to change Photo’s Time and Date on an Android

Many Android features, like the built-in photo store and third-party apps, allow you to edit an image’s time and date. This book will cover many different approaches so that you can find the approach that suits you best.

    Method 1: Using Google Photos

Here are the procedures to edit a photo’s time and duration in Google Photos:

    1. Launch the Google Photos mobile application.
    2. Go to the image you wish to update.
    3. Press the menu icon (three dots) in the upper right corner.
    4. Hit the pencil symbol beside the time and date.
    5. Make any required changes to the date, duration, and time.
    6. To save your changes, tap OK.

Method 2: Use of an App to modify Image Details

To use the Snapseed app, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Play Store, then install Snapseed.
    2. Launch the app and hit the plus sign. Look for the image you wish to change and click on it.
    3. Find the Export button on the bottom bar and tap on it.
    4. Press Download once more.

Remember that this won’t precisely alter the time to your liking. However, it will update the time and date on that image in the gallery. The time and date that you saved the image will be this one.

Disable All EXIF Information (Including Timestamps and Dates)

To delete all EXIF data, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Play Store and install Photo Exif Editor.
    2. Just launch the app and give it the green light.
    3. Choose the photos you wish to modify by tapping the Photos button.
    4. Scroll up and tap the “Exif” icon.
    5. To get rid of all EXIF data, click the box.
    6. Scroll up and tap the “Save” button.
    7. Touch the “Allow” button.
    8. Select OK.

You can readily modify the time and date in your Android images once you have the necessary tools and this guide. Please use the space below to communicate any concerns or ideas you could have.
