Our Android devices have a virtual keyboard that we use for many purposes such as sending quick texts to friends, typing emails, and browsing the internet. Current models of Android keys have tactile response or keyboard vibration. It might, however, annoy a lot of people and make typing more difficult. As a result, this tutorial will show you how to disable the vibration on your Android keyboard.

How to Turn Off Keyboard Vibration on Android?

The tactile response aims to mimic keystrokes on a virtual keyboard. However, typing becomes a little louder as it drains the power of your device. Fortunately, you can turn off this feature by adjusting some app settings. The following methods will stop the keyboard from shaking:

Option 1: Using the Settings App

While keypress vibration guarantees that every key on the keyboard is pressed, it may be a bother if you want to type silently. As a result, you may quickly change the keyboard’s functions using the settings application. Google’s keyboard is the default one on most Android devices. To modify a GBoard’s settings via the settings app, you must do the following steps:

    1. Open the Settings app on your device.
    2. After selecting the Languages & Input choice from the list, tap Additional Settings.
    3. Proceed to Control Keyboards and choose GBoard.
    4. Select Preferences from the menu that appears.
    5. Turn off the Keypress section’s Haptic Feedback button by toggling it off.

    Option 2: Via Keyboard Settings

Another option is to use the keyboard itself to change the settings. This is a quick access point to the GBoard config, but in subsequent steps, it is comparable to the first way.

    1. To open the GBoard, open any application that requires typing.
    2. Press the cogwheel-shaped Settings icon located in the toolbar over the keys.
    3. Click the choices and select Preferences.
    4. Locate the Haptic Response on the Keypress a chance under the Keypress section.
    5. Deactivate the option’s toggle button.

How to Disable the Samsung Keyboard’s Vibration?

Every Android device comes pre-installed with a keyboard app, such as Samsung Keyboard or Gboard. You may change the haptic feedback settings in each of them through the settings area. The procedures are slightly different if you use a Samsung keyboard and tablet. However, you may also disable the Samsung keyboard’s touch vibration directly from the keyboard settings or through the settings app. For this:

    1. To use the Galaxy keyboard on your device, open an app.
    2. Click the Cogwheel icon (Settings) in the keyboard’s upper panel.
    3. From the keyboard options, pick Swipe, Touch, and Feedback.
    4. Select Touch Comments from the menu that has now opened.
    5. Turn off the vibration option by flipping the button.

Using the above techniques, you can quickly disable keypad vibration on Android devices and improve your typing experience. We look forward to your questions and ideas in the comment section. Remember to check out my website for valuable practical advice and how-to tutorials. Have fun typing!
