Google keeps working to provide outstanding features to the Android operating system. Google unveiled ten cutting-edge upgrades on May 15th, including security, privacy, and theft prevention improvements. Naturally, the most notable feature is the Private Space feature. This piece will include information on

How do you utilize Android 15’s Private Space feature?

By isolating your apps’ data and warnings from the rest of your phone, Private Space offers your apps the highest level of protection. You can store private apps, such as bank apps, inside your Private Space, ensuring that you are the only one who can access any data associated with these apps.

There are extra security authentication mechanisms supporting this secure section of your phone to prevent unwanted access to your important apps. It functions as a digital locker to hide programs from view and prevent access.

Additionally, you can alter the appearance of Private Space by adding a hidden lock or even hiding it entirely. This is the configuration guide for the Private Space feature.

    1. Go to Settings, then select Security and Privacy.
    2. Decide on a private area.
    3. It can ask for your fingerprint or screen lock information.
    4. Press Set up now. It’ll prompt you to set up a Google account.
Next, press Select a New Lock.
    5. You can also proceed with an existing one. The private space is now ready and has a new lock installed.
Go to your home screen now and select the app menu.
    6. To access the Private section, scroll to the bottom.
    7. Proceed to the Private Space by entering your lock credentials.
    8. To add an app to the private area, press and hold it from the app menu, then select Install in Private.
    9. This reroutes you to the Play Store, where you can download and install apps for your private area.

Launches Safe Background Activity on Android 15

By implementing modifications that stop malicious background apps from elevating their permissions, abusing user interaction, and overlaying other previously running apps, Android 15 improves security regarding rogue apps and manages users’ devices. Malicious apps can start another app’s activity within one session and then overlay itself by altering its user interface to make it appear as though they are the app itself.

To address this, Android has included a flag that prevents apps from launching if their UID does not match the top of the stack. You need to change this characteristic on your smartphone or tablet for your app activity to function across all platforms.

    Defence Against Phishing Apps

Additionally, Google revealed that Google Play Secure would soon employ on-device AI to detect applications that deceive consumers into installing them. We will examine whether an app uses sensitive rights and how it connects with other apps through real-time threat detection.

If anything on Google Play Protect appears questionable, Google will receive the app for further examination. Should it engage in detrimental actions, Google will remove the application. None of this would need collecting any personal data.

Android 15 has raised the bar for security and privacy with the Private Space feature. Since no one likes their personal information stolen, this feature is especially important to people concerned about digital privacy. This tutorial will assist you in using Android 15’s Private Space functionality. Remember to share your questions and ideas with us in the comment box.
