    How to Disable Android Automatic Updates

    For Android users, app changes that happen on their own can be good and bad. They ensure that your mobile applications have the latest features and safety patches. However, they can also waste your valuable mobile data, reduce your battery more quickly, and even make changes you don’t want. How can I stop these automatic Android changes that don’t bother me? In this detailed guide, we’ll show you how to prevent your Android device from automatically updating its apps.

    How to Disable Android Automatic Updates

    • You haven’t accessed the Google Play Store app on ...
    • It’s in the upper right corner. Tap on the Profile button.
    • Go to the menu and choose Settings.
    • Press the Network button.
    • To save your changes, press OK.

    How to Turn Off Automatic System Updates

    • Click on Software Update after scrolling down.
    • In the upper right corner, tap the gear button.
    • Press “Auto download.”
    • Pick “Do not allow.”
    • There will be a pop-up window. Tap on Turn off to confirm the changes.
    • If you don’t want updates to download over cellular connections, uncheck the box “Auto download over mobile data.”

    You’ll have to check for changes and start them by hand whenever you’re ready.

    How to Stop Automatic App Updates for Individual Apps

    1. Tap on the Profile button in the Play Store.
    2. Click on Manage apps & device, and then click on Manage.
    3. Find the app you don’t want to get updates for and tap on it.
    4. Tap the three dots.
    5. Uncheck the box that says “Enable auto-update.”

    How to Disable Automatic Updates from the Samsung Galaxy Store

    You must stop the Galaxy Store app from automatically updating if you have a Samsung Galaxy device.

    • Open the Galaxy Store.
    • On the bottom right side, tap the three-line menu icon.
    • Select “Settings.”
    • Press “Auto-update apps.”
    • You can choose Never to turn off auto-updates fully or Use Wi-Fi only to let updates happen over Wi-Fi connections.
